All Jewelry Can Be Everyday Jewelry

Why do we save our most beautiful things for rare occasions? How often do we actually wear our so-called “occasional” jewelry? We keep our most cherished pieces locked away, waiting for events that last less than five hours, while we spend the rest of our days wearing things we don’t even love.
I propose a different approach: every piece of jewelry can be everyday jewelry—if styled with confidence. The trick is to wear it naturally, integrating it into your daily wardrobe so that it feels effortless rather than excessive.
Take the tennis bracelet, for example. It wasn’t always considered a luxury piece meant for safekeeping. In fact, it got its name when tennis star Chris Evert famously wore one during a U.S. Open match in 1987. Mid-game, the clasp broke, and the bracelet fell off, prompting a pause in play while she searched for it. What could be more casual than wearing a diamond bracelet while whacking balls across the court in a championship match?
And yet, today, we treat tennis bracelets as delicate treasures, storing them in safes and only bringing them out for “special occasions” like weddings or black-tie dinners. But if your city is safe enough and your lifestyle allows it, I challenge you: wear your tennis bracelet the next time you hit the courts. Blind your opponent with its sparkle, and use it as it was intended—to be worn, to be enjoyed.
Diamonds are the hardest material on Earth; trust that they won’t break. And if your bracelet does? It can be fixed. At least it will have lived a full life, admired as it should be, rather than hidden away in a box.
Jewelry is meant to be worn. Let it be part of your everyday story.
